Just like Betano бонус is amongst the most popular offers in the sports industry so is Mario in the gaming industry – both are simply too famous in their own respective niches. The video game industry has given us so many great characters over the years, but which ones stand out above the rest? We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite iconic video game characters. These are characters whose names are known by even non-gamers and who have appeared in multiple games over the years. They’re all here, so let’s get started!
Mario
Mario is a fictional character in the Mario video game series, owned by Nintendo and created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto.
The franchise centers on the eponymous Italian-American plumber who was introduced as the protagonist and trademark character of the 1981 arcade game Donkey Kong. He has since become Nintendo’s mascot and appears in many games across multiple platforms, including super spinoffs such as Mario Kart, Mario Party and various sports titles; for example, he is a frequent partner of his rival Donkey Kong Jr. in sports games such as Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and its sequel on Game Boy Color.[8]
Mario has appeared in more than 200 video games since his creation.[9] In 1999 he was inducted into the Walk of Game alongside Link and Samus Aran as one of gaming’s most important characters.[10][11] Cite Your Source

Link is a playable character in the The Legend of Zelda series, who fights to save Hyrule from evil forces. He’s appeared in eight games so far, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. He also starred in Breath of the Wild (2017), Skyward Sword (2011) and A Link Between Worlds (2013).
Lara Croft
Lara Croft is the main character from the “Tomb Raider” video game series developed by Crystal Dynamics and Core Design. She is presented as a beautiful as well as intelligent British archaeologist who loves to explore the ancient ruins around the world.
Her unique design originates in a number of physical features that have remained constant throughout the series: brown eyes; long red hair; high cheekbones; fair skin; black tank tops; short shorts, brown boots or hiking boots (depending on game); and twin pistols. In some games she wears small hoop earrings, though in most she does not.
In addition to these characteristics, Lara has also been voiced by four actresses over her history: Shelley Blond (1996), Judith Gibbins (1997), Jonell Elliot (1998–1999), Keeley Hawes(2003–2008) before being replaced by Camilla Luddington(2009 onward).
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog is a video game character created by Sega that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series released between 1991 and 2006. He is a blue, anthropomorphic hedgehog capable of running faster than the speed of sound and can also curl up into a ball while in motion to attack enemies. Throughout his existence, he has remained Sega’s mascot and has become one of their most famous characters.
In addition to video games, Sonic has appeared in several animated shows (both western and Japanese), comics and printed media. He was voiced by Junichi Kanemaru (Japanese) until 2013 when Takashi Niigaki took over the role after being cast as Tails in 2013.
